Connecting Cloud CRM Solution with On-Premises Financials

ISYS chose cloud-based Salesforce.com to serve as the hub of their support system and billing operations. As part of their implementation of Salesforce.com, they built out multiple custom objects in order to capture their nurses' time and case notes to generate invoices based on time increments. In order to avoid a significant drain on internal resources to manually enter data in both Salesforce.com as well as their financial system, QuickBooks, they sought out an integration solution to automate the synchronization of data between the two systems. ISYS does not employ internal IT resources and, therefore, required an integration solution that would be affordable and low-maintenance.

Solution

ISYS explored several Integration-as-a-Service solutions but quickly realized that Boomi AtomSphere was the only solution on the market that could accommodate custom objects in Salesforce.com. Furthermore, Boomi offered a rapid implementation via their professional services team as well as ongoing managed services to monitor their integration processes and negate the need for any internal IT support from ISYS.

Results include:

  • Eliminated 96 hours of manual, duplicate data entry by automating the synch of payroll data and invoices between CRM and Financials
  • Implemented a cloud-based integration solution connecting SaaS CRM to on-premises financial system behind their firewall
  • Planning to add integration of invoice status to CRM from financials in order to provide sales team visibility into account status and accelerate order-to-cash
