Fast Performance and Maintainable Integrations Keeps Business Processes Humming

Solvate needed to integrate the data flow between their three main operational applications: Solvate Workforce Management, Salesforce CRM and their accounting application. Their initial approach used the Salesforce API to connect Solvate and Salesforce CRM. Very quickly, Solvate begin hitting the API transaction limit and experiencing performance problems. These problems begin drawing on critical development resources—which could be better utilized creating new application functionality. Solvate realized they needed a much more scalable, maintainable integration solution than custom coding to an API.

Solution

Solvate evaluated several integration providers. During vendor evaluations, Boomi clearly solved the entire scope of the problem, was easy to do business with, delivered reliable quotes and was painless to get started. Boomi’s pure-cloud approach with no appliances, no software to install, and pay-as-you-go pricing model, made them the winning vendor.

Solvate deployed Boomi AtomSphere to connect all three core business applications. This included bi-directional linking of orders, cases, and customer information between Salesforce CRM and Solvate WorkForce Management, as well as the synching of invoice data between Salesforce CRM and Solvate’s accounting system. Solvate utilized a JumpStart professional services package from Boomi to speed their learning curve and ensure a successful first implementation.

Results include:

  • Quick, Easy Implementation: Solvate utilized Boomi’s JumpStart service to learn AtomSphere. This mentoring approach enabled the Solvate team to quickly learn the system in a hands-on manner. Subsequent integrations and maintenance have been painless and quick.
  • Low Maintenance Costs: Solvate learned how AtomSphere’s visual design approach creates an easy to maintain integration. They are able to maintain and upgrade their integrations without drawing on critical engineering resources.
  • High Performance: Solvate’s integration performance problems disappeared once AtomSphere was deployed. Benchmarks indicate AtomSphere will easily scale to their anticipated requirements. Going forward all integrations with high performance requirements will start with Boomi.
