Contest Will Determine "Dream Widget" to Be Built and Offered to Cloud Computing Community for Free

BERWYN, PA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/22/09 -- Boomi (www.boomi.com), the market and technology leader for cloud-computing integration, kicked off a contest today that invites salesforce.com customers to contribute and vote (http://dream.boomi.com) for their "dream widget" -- the integration they would most like between any third-party application and Salesforce CRM. Boomi is opening up the selection process to the salesforce.com community to decide which integration would be the most useful in today's business environment. Ideas may include anything from social media applications to enterprise software. Boomi will rapidly build the most popular selection and offer it for free to any salesforce.com customer who visits the Boomi booth (#409) at Dreamforce 2009. The contest will run from now until Oct. 30, 2009.

Boomi Widgets are pre-built, easy-to-use, on-demand connections between popular business applications. The company announced the availability of its Widgets product in late July and has since enabled its partners to build and deliver integrations to applications including ADP, Ascent, Coupa, Glovia, Intuit Partner Platform, Marketo, Microsoft Dynamics GP, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Salesforce CRM, Saasu, Taleo and Zuora.

For the contest, voters can either contribute a suggested integration widget or choose between these candidates:

  • Salesforce CRM to LinkedIn—Augment your account data by automatically cross-referencing your LinkedIn connections.
  • Salesforce CRM to Crunchbase—Enrich information about your leads by retrieving company-specified information directly from Crunchbase.
  • Salesforce CRM to WebEx—Automatically import webinar attendees as leads into the Sales Cloud.
