Company Selects Boomi AtomSphere to Integrate Student Recruitment Manager to Student Information Systems
Berwyn, PA - (02/18/2009) Boomi, the market and technology leader for on-demand integration, today announced a partnership with TargetX to enable seamless integration between TargetX’s Student Recruitment Manager (SRM) application and universities’ student information systems (SIS). With Boomi AtomSphere, the industry’s first integration platform-as-a-service, TargetX can offer universities integration through the cloud, eliminating the traditional barriers associated with integrating student data among systems within an institution. Additionally, TargetX’s ability to offer integration via the cloud provides the company with a significant cost and time-to-market competitive advantage, allowing it to more effectively market its student recruitment service.
“The most common question we get when performing demonstrations for potential clients is, ‘How will this integrate with our SIS?,’” said Jeff Leisse, director of product implementation for TargetX. “By partnering with Boomi, we provide customers with a proven integration strategy that alleviates concerns brought forth by IT departments. It also shows TargetX is making a conscious effort to address one of the biggest problems on college campuses – multiple data sources.”
TargetX is a provider of interactive recruiting solutions designed to help institutions of higher learning target and attract the most desirable students. The company’s SRM is a recruitment management tool that tracks students as they research, visit and ultimately decide on a particular school. Once a student selects a particular university, his or her information (family and personal data, transcripts, etc.) must be transferred to SIS databases supported by Oracle and Unidata. This transfer, traditionally done manually, is labor-intensive, prone to errors and has created scenarios where duplicate data existed in multiple databases.
The Sage Colleges in Troy and Albany, New York are already using Boomi AtomSphere to integrate TargetX’s SRM with the university’s SIS. AtomSphere’s 'connect once - integrate everywhere'™ architecture was designed to meet the increasing demand in the SaaS industry that integration be delivered as a service. TargetX joins forward-thinking Boomi partners such as salesforce.com, Intuit, @Task, SmartTurn, Taleo and Zuora, which are already using AtomSphere to solve the integration challenge on behalf of their customers.
“We are excited to partner with TargetX to bring efficient and effective SaaS integration to higher education,” said Bob Moul, president and CEO of Boomi. “SaaS applications offer tremendous value to universities of all sizes and the ability to integrate SaaS offerings with their on-premises systems is paramount. We look forward to working with TargetX as they continue to revolutionize the recruiting process in higher education.”
