The Boomi Visual Integration Platform

The Visual Integration Platform™ is the product version of Boomi’s visual integration technology.  The Visual Integration Platform is ideal for those companies who prefer the traditional model of “owning” and managing their software on premise.  Developed and refined over the past seven years and through three major releases, Boomi’s Visual Integration Platform has reached a high level of maturity and contains a rich set of features and functionality.  It has been installed at over 350 client sites in 11 countries around the world making it one the industry’s leading integration platforms – particularly for small and mid-sized businesses.

Like its on demand counterpart, the Visual Integration Platform simplifies the integration process into three easy steps: Build – Deploy – Manage

Build
At the heart of the Visual Integration Platform is the Integration Process (IP) Designer. With the IP Designer, users can build very simple to very sophisticated integration solutions by selecting components from a palette and connecting them to one another on a “canvas” using familiar point-and-click, drag-and-drop techniques. Common integration tasks such as data transformation, complex decision logic, content-based routing, user-defined error handling and real-time application connectivity are built by dragging and connecting the required integration components to each other to form the overall integration process. There is no code to write or modify and no proprietary languages to learn.
IP Designer

Deploy – One Click Deployment and No Coding!
Unlike our competitors, once an integration configuration is built, it is ready for deployment. Many solutions simply generate a template of code and require additional programming before the integration can be deployed. Boomi’s configurations require no additional programming and are ready for immediate deployment. Using a simple export/import process, configurations can easily be deployed to your test and/or production environments.

Manage
To monitor and manage integration configurations once deployed, Boomi developed the IP Manager: a concise, easy-to-read, easy-to-use dashboard that provides an overview of the status and health of all deployed integration processes at a glance. All administrative functions including execution, monitoring, and error handling are handled by the IP manager.  Managing your integration processes has never been easier with:
IP Manager
  • Activity Monitoring. Monitor active integration processes as well as upcoming scheduled executions and any recent errors.
  • Queue Management. View inbound and outbound queues and recently processed documents. View data, search documents, view logs, manually execute a queue, retry a queue to reprocess error documents, and more.
  • Enterprise Reporting. View reports from within the IP Manager or any web browser. Reports can be customized as needed beyond the standard library of reports offered.
  • Alert Management. Set up and manage alerts and notifications.  Configure which processes to monitor and which users to notify.
  • Project and User Management. For Boomi Administrators, the project access lists are defined and managed here.
